almost 1.0" rain last night. Slugs definitely got some tithonia last night. I wonder if there is something I could spray on the leaves that would deter them. Ammonia,caffiene,acid,diet dr pepper? Beer trap caught a dozen or so small slugs so I moved it closer to the tithonia.
Charley's Greenhouse has square pots and surfactant for peat...shipping is high though. I think I'll try to get pots locally and try detergent first. After all, people rinse their plants with soap water for aphids so at least some plants should be able to tolerate it in the soil.
