The lovage isn't growing...apparently the seed doesn't keep well. The seed I have is from last year.

Found some interesting japanese videos on YouTube.com. Most of them were cooking tips but one was about making cut flowers last longer. They put the cut end in 84C hot water for a few minutes. Claims it disolves something in the stem which then allows more water to be drawn up into the stem. I wonder if it would work for cuttings that I'm trying to root.

Trimmed the cotoneaster in the front last weekend and planted some verbena and more tomatoes to replace the seedlings that have died. Also got some tomatillos and fertilizer at Lowes.
